Mine, Yours, Ours: Relationship Survival Guide to Baby's 1st Year!

You’ve heard it before:  When you have a baby, EVERYTHING changes.  While that’s definitely true in a lot of ways, it doesn’t mean that your connection with your partner has to change.  There’s no denying that schedules may change, roles and responsibilities may change, and even HOW you connect with your partner may change.  Your relationship shouldn’t take a back seat.   Despite all the differences in the way your life looks before and after baby, you absolutely can (and should!) keep that deep connection that drew you together in the first place in tact and even strengthen it through the experience of new parenthood.

If you’re a new or expectant couple, this class is a can’t-miss!  Utilizing humor and empathy, the information in this course is presented from both the male/female perspective and the birthing parent/parenting partner perspective.  This course will help you understand each partner’s unique hopes, concerns and needs, and how universal our worries are regarding this transition to parenthood.

Throughout this course, you and your partner will learn effective communication skills so you can truly "hear" each other.  You will receive tips and strategies to aid in the development of your postpartum plan, which will focus on working as a team.  Expect to gain understanding of the moods and emotions that come with the birth of your baby.  And, just as important as anything else, you’ll also learn how to hold space for sex and intimacy in your relationship during and after this transitional phase.

Come ready to ask questions and share your own experiences.  This is not just a lecture format, your participation is highly encouraged!

Included in the cost of enrollment is a 20 minute consultation to review your Postpartum Plan. Consultation can be scheduled anytime up to 4 months after the class.  Scheduling will occur after class.  Take advantage--this is such a great deal and is valued to be worth more than the cost of the class!

Facilitated by: Catherine O'Brien, M.A. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Gottman Educator, and Mother and Rick Heyer, JD, Educator, and Father

Space is limited.

Bring your coffee and let's chat!

Join us to hang out, get some support, encouragement, or ideas to make parenthood more enjoyable.

The intention of this group is provide a fun and welcoming environment, where we all feel heard, encouraged and accepted. It’s a place where we’ll be inspired to bring out our best as partners and parents.

We’re a no-judgment zone. We’re not here to judge or compare. Instead, we’re a place to build each other up (not tear each other {or ourselves} down.)

We’ll have a private room, so you can choose to bring your children or not. Whatever you prefer!

We’ll start with a discussion topic (such as communication with our spouse; creating household routines; removing “mommy guilt;” embracing our “new normal;” handling the moods and emotions of parenthood; etc.) But then we’ll always open it up for just casual conversation, so we can ask questions and get to know each other.

Ideal Day, Ideal Year:  A Moms’ Day Out for Creating a Life You Love

Ideal Day, Ideal Year:  A Moms’ Day Out for Creating a Life You Love

With the new year quickly approaching, it’s natural to get a little self-reflective.  But when you’re a mom, it can be hard to give yourself room to really take the time for yourself to dream into what you want more of and what you want to change.

But, what if you could spend a “Moms’ Day Out” with friends to relax, feel nurtured, and reconnect with yourself?

  • What if you got quiet ask asked yourself, what do I want my life to be?

  • What if you gave to yourself what you give to everyone else?

  • What if you stopped doing what we think everyone else is doing or striving for or what we think everyone else has?

  • What if you got really clear on how you want to feel?  What you want to have?  What you want your life to look like?

  • What if you gave yourself the time and space to ask these questions and allowed yourself the time and space for the answers to surface?

  • What if you gave yourself permission to slow down just a little?

Maybe you don’t even know yet.  Maybe it’s been so long since you gave yourself anytime to focus just on you that you’re not even sure where to begin.

That’s OK--so many moms feel this way.

That’s why I’ve designed this workshop to be equal parts relaxation, fun and reflection.  I’ll walk you through the process to start exploring what you need, what you want, what you value, so that you can live a life you love.

Join me and a group of other moms as we explore, create, and manifest lives we want and deserve.  This will be a fun, relaxing, recharging, energizing, and powerful experience that will start with you putting yourself first.

In this workshop, we’ll begin to dial back into our true selves by asking ourselves the right questions.  Then we’ll begin piecing our ideas together by getting crafty to create vision boards that we can take home with us to help us visualize the life we want to experience.

(If you’re not sure what a vision board is or why it’s so powerful, check this out.  And this one is good too.)

Above all, moms, this is a day out just for you.  Throughout your time with me, you’ll be taken care of.

  • Healthy snacks and lunch, organic juice, coffee and teas will be provided.
  • All supplies will be provided too, so all you need to do is bring a picture of yourself that you love, if you have one, and a willingness to have fun with this.

Are you ready to create a life you love in 2018?  Sign up now, then invite a friend to join!

Bring your lunch and let's chat!

Join us for your lunch hour to hang out, get some support, encouragement, or ideas to make parenthood more enjoyable.

Over our meal, we’ll start with a discussion topic (such as communication with our spouse; creating household routines; removing “mommy guilt;” embracing our “new normal;” handling the moods and emotions of motherhood; etc.) But then we’ll always open it up for just casual conversation, so we can ask questions and get to know each other.
